Our Farming Philosophy
At The Old Mine Smallholding, we believe in sustainable farming practises that respect nature. Our commitment to quality ensures that every animal is reared with care, resulting in premium Northumbrian lamb and pork.
Our family and how we began
we started all this in Lockdown 2020 when we started with 6 chickens from James’s old allotment in amble which he had when he was younger, we then thought why not get some pigs we ended up with 2 Tamworth gilts and since then we have multiplied with more pigs and Sheep.

we run a busy life with 2 day time jobs as well as being parents to Skyla, James & Dylan. We really enjoy raising our own livestock and showing our children how to produce their own food. which I must add my son will not eat anything other than our sausages and famous Chinese pork ribs (as he says)
